Medicaid

What is Medicaid?
Medicaid is a health program which provides medical benefits to low-income individuals and families who have no medical insurance or inadequate medical insurance. The federal government has established general guidelines for the program, but each state establishes the program’s requirements including eligibility. You can find out more about the Medicaid program by visiting the Illinois Department of Healthcare & Family Services website or by talking to the facility's admissions team.

What does Medicaid pay?
Services covered include room and board, nursing care, meals and certain medications (not all medications are covered by Medicaid). A detailed list is available at all SIR consulted facilities.
